Dialog description :

Surface Matching:

The command name corresponding to this dialog box is _RsSurfaceMatch. When using this command, the user first selects a surface boundary (the surface must be a non-trimmed surface), then selects the target boundary (this boundary is allowed to be on trimmed surface; multiple surface boundaries can be selected), and then selects the continuity type (position continuous , tangent continuous or curvature continuous ) for boundary matching.

Selection:

Continuity (selection box): Set the matching continuity type of the matching surface boundary and the target surface boundary. There are three types to choose from: position (position continuous), tangent (tangent continuous), curvature (curvature continuous). Every time the continuity type is selected, the program will calculate and adjust the continuity once.

Opposite edge: When this option button is selected, the continuity type will be applied to the opposite boundary of the selected boundary.

Edge: press this button to pick the surface boundary that needs to be adjusted for continuity matching. Only the boundaries of non-trimmed surfaces can be picked, and only one surface boundary can be picked at a time.

Reference edge(s): press this button to pick up the target surface boundary that needs to be adjusted for continuity matching. Trimmed surface boundary is allowed to be picked, and you are allowed to select multiple surface boundaries.

S: The starting point of the matching segment. When the surface boundaries are matched together, the point will be marked; select this button, press the "+" sign or "-" sign to move and adjust the position of the end point.

E: The end point of the matching area. When the surface boundaries are matched together, the point will be marked; select this button, press the "+" sign or "-" sign to move and adjust the position of the end point.

"1" (selection box): the step length when moving the endpoint;

Computation:

Smooth: The factor that controls the smoothing of the surface.

Deviation:

show: When this option button is selected, the continuity deviation value will be displayed on the matching boundary.

G0: Display continuous deviation of position.

G1: Display continuous deviation value of tangent vector.

GC: Displays the deviation value of Gaussian curvature.

GM: Display the average curvature deviation value.

Refine: Press this button to recalculate to reduce the continuity deviation, and the new maximum continuity deviation value will be marked on the boundary.
