Command description:

This command helps user fit mesh to NURBS surfaces based on a profile polygon mesh.

To fit mesh to NURBS surfaces based on polygon mesh:

1. Click Fit surfaces from mesh based on polygon from the RhinoResurf menu or type RsMesh2SurfsByPolygon at the Rhino command prompt.

2. Click left-mouse button to select a target mesh, then select a polygon mesh.

3. The target mesh will be fitted into NURBS surfaces automatically.

 

The following picture shows the target mesh model:

This is a profile polygon mesh model, it is modeled in Rhino and used as base control polygon mesh to fit the target mesh.

In the following picture, the target mesh and the base polygon mesh was put together.

In the command, user selects the target mesh firstly, then selects the polygon mesh, the final NURBS surfaces will be created:
