FAQ 1 - Why RhinoResurf register dialog does not display in my Rhino

 

Tutorial 11 - Fit mesh to NURBS surface by specifying shape type. ( Command: _RsMesh2Surf in RhinoResurf for Rhino 4 or 5)

 


The command _RsMesh2Surf in RhinoResurf for Rhino 4 or 5 helps user fit mesh to NURBS surface by defining the shape type of the mesh model. The following picture (Fig. 1. )shows the dialog for this command. There are 6 shape type options for user to select:
1. plane :  for the open mesh model which is homeomorphous to plane.  (Fig.8)
2. cylinder: for the mesh model which is homeomorphous to cylinder. (Fig.13)
3. semi-shpere: for the mesh model which is homeomorphous to semi-sphere. (Fig.11)
4. 4corner: for the mesh model which is homeomorphous to plane and has 4 sharp corners in the boundary line. (Fig.6)
5. 3corner: for the mesh model which is homeomorphous to plane and has 3 sharp corners in the boundary line. (Fig.2)

6. 2corner: for the mesh model which is homeomorphous to plane and has 2 sharp corners in the boundary line.(Fig.4)

RhinoResurf also provide another command _RsMesh2StarFace for the mesh model which is homeomorphous to plane and has n (n>4) sharp corners in the boundary line. (Fig.15)

Option 1: Shape type - 3corner

Option 4 : Shape type - plane
